Custom Redmine Plugin Development

Purpose-built plugins that extend Redmine without unnecessary core modifications.

How I can help

When Redmine doesn’t do what your team needs out of the box, a custom plugin adds it cleanly. I build purpose-built Redmine plugins with their own settings, permissions, screens and workflows — without modifying Redmine’s core, so upgrades stay manageable.

I have delivered 28 plugins and plugin upgrades for client teams on Redmine 5.0 to 6.1, covering integrations, helpdesk, time tracking, billing, forms, PDF reports and notifications.

FAQ

Custom Redmine Plugin Development: common questions

Will a custom plugin break when I upgrade Redmine?

Plugins are built on Redmine’s plugin API, hooks and patches rather than by editing core files, which keeps upgrades manageable. When a new Redmine version changes something, the plugin can be updated — I have upgraded plugins for Redmine 6 compatibility.

Can you fix or upgrade an existing Redmine plugin?

Yes. I can review an existing plugin, fix bugs and make it compatible with a newer Redmine version.

Which Redmine versions do you develop plugins for?

My recent plugins have been delivered for Redmine 5.0, 6.0 and 6.1.

Have a Redmine project in mind?

Share what you need — a new plugin, a workflow change or an integration. Estimates and timelines are provided after reviewing scope and technical requirements.
